Malala Yousufzai- in Serious condition

Malala Yousufzai has also been nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize 2011 for raising her voice for girls’ education in troubled Swat.

Peshawar: Doctors at the Military Combined Hospital (CMH) have termed next three days as critical for the health of 14-year old Malala Yousufzai, who was attacked by the Pakistani Taliban in Swat earlier in the day.
Sources said that the doctors have postponed a surgery, keeping in view her wounds that are said to be very serious as the girl was hit in the head from close range.
The sources said that a bullet was still in her head and would be removed through a surgery. The girl is being treated at army’s CMH hospital. She was reported to be in stable condition while being treated in a Swat hospital.
Malala Yousufzai along with another girl was injured in an armed attack in Saydu Sharif while returning from school in a vehicle. She was shifted to district headquarters hospital before being shifted to Peshawar through a helicopter on the directives of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have claimed responsibility for an attack on Malala Yousuzai. President Asif Ali Zardari has condemned the attack on 14-year old peace activist Malala Yousufzai.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the president said that the nation would continue its war against extremists till the logical end. The president ordered the authorities concerned to make sure arrangements for the treatment of Yousufzai.
