Ramadan is the ninth month of Islamic lunar calendar.During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink and other physical needs during the daylight hours. Ramadan is much more then just not eating or drinking. During Ramadan every part of body must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The feet must be refrain from going sinful place. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful thing.
Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the Heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained".
Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, "Whosoever recites only one 'Ayat' in Holy Ramadan, he will be awarded as if he had recited the full Qur'an in other months.
