Information about the Blessed Month of Ramadan - Ramadan Hadith

" HOLY RAMADAN "

Ramadan is the holy month of  Islam. It is the ninth month of Islamic calender. It is the time of fasting for Muslims. During this blessed month Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink and other physical needs during the daylight hours. During the month of Ramadan every part of body must be retrained. The tongue is restrain from backbiting and gossip. The eyes are retrain from watching bad things. The feet are restrain from going sinful places. The hands must be restrain from fighting. Ears must be restrain from listing music. Fasting is a complete purification.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said," Fasting is a shield. So , the person observing fasting should avoid sexual relation with his wife and should not behave foolishly and impudently, and if somebody fights him or abusing him, he should tell him twice, "I am fasting". The Prophet (P.B.U.H) added,"By Him is Whose Hands my soul is, the smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of ALLAH then the smell of musk.

HADEES-E-QUDSIL

Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heavens are opened and the gates oh the Hell are closed and the devils are chained"

According to this hadith we realize that in the holy month of Ramadan ALLAH opened all the gates of Heaven and closed all the gates of Hell. In the month of  Ramadan the devils get chained by ALLAH.


WHEN SHOULD WE START FASTING?

Narrated Ibn 'UMAR (R.A):

I heard Allah's messenger (P.B.U.H) saying," When you see the  crescent (of the month of Ramadan), start fasting, and when you see the crescent (of the month of Shawwal), stop fasting, and if the sky is overcast (and you cant see it) then regard the month of Ramadan as of 30 days."

IF SOMEBODY  EAT OR DRINK FORGETFULLY

"Narrated Abu Huraira"

The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said,: If somebody eats or drinks forgetfully then he should complete his fast, for what he has eaten or drunk, has been given to him by Allah"

WHEN TO BREAK THE FAST?

"Narrated 'Umar bin Al Khattab"

Holly Prophet (P.B.U.H) said," When night falls from this side and the day vanished from this side and the sun sets, then the fasting person should break his fast."
