MODES OF DATA COMMUNICATION

                                            "MODES OF DATA COMMUNICATION"
The way in which  data is transmitted from one location to another location is called data transmission modes. It is also called data communication mode.

There are three types of data transmission modes.

SIMPLEX

Simplex is a mode in which data flows in one direction only from sender to receiver. Receiver is not capable of sending data. T.V. and Radio transmission are the examples of simplex.

HALF-DUPLEX

In  half duplex transmission, data can be sent and received in both directions i.e. from sender to receiver and vice versa, but not at the same time.

FULL-DUPLEX

The directional mode of transmission is the full-duplex. In full-duplex transmission, data is transmitted in both directions simultaneously on the same channel Telephone system is the example of full-duplex transmission.
